Safer Together:
Working with Trauma & Dissociation in EFT Couples Therapy
An Online Course

When we are working with survivors of trauma,

couples therapy can get very choppy!

We experience:

  • Big blow-ups and high levels of reactivity;

  • Very complicated cycles that are hard to track;

  • Confusion about attachment positions;

  • Losing track of the EFT map;

  • An inability to maintain momentum or achieve de-escalation;

  • Our own hopelessness, irritation and despair.

Trying to stay on target as the trauma triggers fly can feel like a game of Whack-a-Mole...

About this Course

Couples therapy with people with trauma can be much more rewarding and effective if you have a clear and nuanced understanding of how trauma operates in relationship.

In this course, you will learn:

  • What dissociation is and how it shows up in couples therapy;

  • Why it makes the cycle so messy and hard to track;

  • How to stop the spin of traumatic triggering and reactivity;

    • How to incorporate core EFIT and EFFT principles to address these challenges and START TO CREATE HEALING AND LASTING CHANGE!

Jamie Discusses the Course

Marcy Reda, LCSW, Certified EFT Supervisor

“Jamie has obviously done a ton of learning about trauma and dissociation, and has effectively and clearly blended it with his wealth of knowledge and experience in working with couples using EFT. He took a topic that can be overwhelming and turned it into material that feels easy to follow and understand. He provided both theoretical frameworks and very practical exercises. I feel more calm and hopeful in my capacity to help couples struggling with trauma responses. Thank you, Jamie!"
